Introduction
Welcome to my website.
This site is in part the product of a lifelong interest in interior spaces, the home, furniture, interior contents and design ideas that make up and support living in buildings.
We are currently engaged in an unconventional conversion project, started three years ago and on a property only three years old.
The house is a typical developer house by a national house builder and complete with a checklist of the usual 'desirable' specifications for 'contemporary' living. 'Desirable specifications' can be very subjective and limiting and not always useful design solutions. We have chosen to abandon the developers idea's for this building and reinvent it using solutions usually reserved for much older properties, choosing to completely strip and change the layout, dispense with ALL affectations and reconfigure the spaces into a more authentic flow of useable space.
Inside the website, in the Residential Refurbishment Gallery, you will find images shot by architectural photographer Jill Tate showing the results so far.
Running hand in hand with the interior project are some transformations using Ercol chairs. I have taken some unloved pieces and changed their appearances to contemporise them, using colour and new upholstery. These pieces are available for sale and will be joined by further pieces in the 'Curtain up time' Gallery: details of dimensions, finish and pricing are available on request.
You can get in touch with me through the contact page with any questions or enquiries and I would love to hear your opinions about the website.
